I was curious as to what the extent of Terraforming technology should be in Uprising. Since one of the goals is to stay within reasonably realistic bounds I don't think the technology should be advance enough to say topple a mountain or 12 at a whim. Or completely just shoving masses of dirt and rock aside. Then there would be small things like man made lakes or hills but that's nothing special. But it seems possible that things like atmospheric terraforming would exist in full. Nothing like creating an atmosphere for a planet where hardly any atmosphere existed before, but you could say tweak one instead to make it more livable. Huge complexes built on the surface or stations floating in low orbit, I don't know. And Paraterraforming would be plenty viable too I'd think. Just a thought.

Most terraforming is atmospheric in nature. Think like in Aliens; a company pay settlers to build and maintain massive atmospheric terraforming complexes on a new planet. Not so much changing the shape of the landscape.
