Name: Gwendolyn “Dylan” Cross
Species: Human
Uprising Side: Enforces the status quo
Occupation: Military Muscle
Bio: Dylan is a skilled soldier of large stature and impressive physical power. She often wears extensive body armor and a face-shielding helmet when on the job. This, in combination with her nickname, often leads many to assume she is a man. She is not one to lead missions, but she is great at following the orders of her commanders. She may not always agree with them, but it isn't her job to agree. She lives with her husband, who is a baker, and three children near the borders between the slums and inner cities.

So since she doesn't permanently stay with the military would you say she is more of a mercenary? Not a full time soldier, but brought in as a specialty unit to deal with problems. Or maybe a police officer of sorts breaking up small disturbances and paroling the streets?

All of the Protectorate's military strength is composed of Private Military Contractors, which is really just a polite way of saying mercenary. The PMC largely responsible for urban security in the area of the slums where our main story takes place is SIDAS, since they are a subcontractor under the Protectorate-owned Special External Protocol Enforcement organization, tasked with maintaining civil order.

I was thinking more like a member of a small specialty task force. One of five or so. I'm not sure exactly how much time she spends with the military and how much time at home. Depends on her orders, I suppose. EDIT: So since she doesn't permanently stay with the military would you say she is more of a mercenary? Yeah, I think that would work quite nicely for what I had in mind for her.

Then you want to have a conversation with Pragmatic, since SIDAS is his baby

Alrighty then.
What position on the team would Dylan have? Is She Pointman? Assaulter? Demolition? Support Gunner? Sniper? I'd like to know what position she'd fill. Note that they're not tied into command role in a squad. The Pointman isn't always going to be team leader.

So, we're talking Hercules MkIV heavy assault armor with a duel propulsion heavy machine-gun?

Duel propulsion Heavy Machine Gun. There's no such thing as overkill. There's only "open fire" and "I need to reload"

The Ross & Hargrave DPKW-2/90 feeds from a powered belt chute attached directly to the ammunition canister on the right shoulderblade hardpoint of the Mk. IV Hercules, with a capacity in excess of 1000 rounds of 12.7x90mm Polymer-Cased Telescopic Ammunition. THERE IS ONLY DAKKA!
